Lee Brighton: Yes, I’m Lee. ♪♪♪ Hi, I’m Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship. I’m in Vancouver today at Virtro Entertainment, with Lee and Jordan Brighton. Lee and Jordan are 2 entrepreneurs who came to Canada through the Start-up Visa Program, which our Government made permanent. It’s a great program that has attracted more than 100 companies and over 200 entrepreneurs to Canada, creating jobs and prosperity for all of us. I will now turn it over to the Brightons to tell us their experience with Start-up Visa Program. Lee Brighton: We applied for Start-up Visas and became permanent residents in April last year. Yes! We’re so excited to be here. Minister Hussen: Wonderful! Welcome. Lee Brighton: So thank you very much. And thank you, for all of the people who are going to come in the future, through the Start-up Visa Program. It’s great to be able to start a business here and for all of the support, on a federal and on a provincial level – it’s fantastic. We wanted to say thank you. Minister Hussen: Well, thank you for choosing Canada. I know talent is mobile and you’ve chosen to take a chance on Canada and you’re happy. So that makes me happy…. Lee Brighton: “A chance on Canada”? It’s a first choice! Minister Hussen: Thank you! Thank you so much. ♪♪♪
