Kyoto Top 8 Must-Visit Places

Kyoto Top 8 Must-Visit Places

I think Arashiyama bamboo Grove is definitely beautiful. However, I think it's best SUPER early in the morning before the crowd gets there later in the morning. It's not as enjoyable when everyone is fighting to get their "IG Post".

I was very disappointed by Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, but the other tips were good 🙂 We did see the railroad tracks in April during Cherry Blossom season and it was almost too crowded to actually see the tracks – but nonetheless an awesome spot leading to a cool fountain.

Loving the videos. Would love to visit Japan someday, but at my age and budget it's not likely to happen 😒. Got a bug this year and decided there was no reason an old Californian transplanted to Texas couldn't learn Japanese. Up to the "family" section in Duolingo now lol. Hiragana was easy, and I know how to ask where the bathroom is and say I eat meat. I'm set right? 😉

I have to say that Ninenzaka really is one of the most beautiful and tranquil spots. I had the luck of visiting Kyoto in time for Hanatoro, a illumination event where thousands of lanterns are set througout the area. I think it's around mid march, so if you're planning on visiting Japan for the cherry blossom season, I'd recommend mid march-begining of april. It was perfect timing for me.

Hi, I will be travelling to japan in 2 weeks. I will start in Tokyo and end in Kyoto (3 weeks travel). I would like to buy some nice things and prefer to do it at the end so I don't have to carry them around.
Is Kyoto a good place for shopping? Fashion and souvenirs.
    Thank you!
